Smoking possible during international transfer

I will be connecting through the airport on international flights with an 8 hour layover. Is it possible to smoke without going through customs? I will be in terminal 3.

Well, it is not allowed to smoke in the terminal building. Now smoking rooms are set outside of the terminals. During your layover, you can only walk out and smoke.
