About:China Visa

Entry to China with EU laissez-passer and Irish passport expiring within 6 months

Is it possible to enter China with an EU laissez-passer (valid for 6 more years) but when my national passport will expire within 6 months. Travel is on official business. I have Irish citizenship and am living in The Netherlands.

I’m afraid it’s risky. You may need to renew your Irish passport and then you can apply for a Chinese entry permit to travel to China for official business. You can contact with the embassy of China and confirm that.
