hi, is it a good time to visit zhujiajiao in the second week of january?

Is a half day or whole day needed to see this town?  Any tour from Shanghai?  Thanks.

I am afraid that January is not an ideal time to pay a visit. The best time to see the town is from March to October. In general, a whole day is needed. There are tours from downtown Shanghai. You may join one through your hotel. :)
