and am going to Beijing, can I go to the Great Wall of China without a visa? Is this close enough to Beijing?

Shanna, if you travel like country A-Beijing-country B, and stay in Beijing for less than 72 hours, you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Beijing and you can go to the Great Wall without entry permit. The Great Wall is within Beijing.
