hi, do i need an entry permit if i travell Vancouver-Guangzhou-Urumqi-Almaty by China Southern Airlines? I arrive to Guanzhou at 17:10 on November 20, then fly to Urumqi at 10.00 on November 21 and from Urumci to Almaty at 20:45 on November 21 (total time in China 27hrs). Not planning to leave airport areas.

You need to apply for a transit G type or tourist L type entry permit for that.
