About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Airline employee

I am an airline employee so I fly if there are seats available. I'm connecting through Shanghai to get to my final destination (Thailand) I wouldn't have a confirmed reservation because they give me my seat at the gate. Is this allowed?

Orianna, I’m afraid it is not allowed. Based on the 72 hour policy, you should hold confirmed air tickets, so you may need to apply for an entry permit in advance if you travel standby.
