About:Shanghai 15-day Visa-free Policy for Cruise Tour Groups

do I need China Visa if I joiined a cruise?

I am carrying a malaysian Passport, i am joining a cruise in Dec 18, 2016 from Guangzhou, for 2 nights, then leave for Vietnam for 2 nights then back to Guangzhou to fly back to Malaysia, do I need a China Visa?

On your way to Vietnam, you need the visa for the stay in Guangzhou. On your way back to Malaysia, you don't need it if you stay in Guangzhou for less than 24 hours. If you need to stay longer, you should also have a visa.
