About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

about the passport

during the period of applying for the working visa & residence permit( suppose the passport has submitted to the immigration office) how can the foreign employee travel within China?

Candy, you can ask the immigration office to give you passport receipt stating your passport is kept by them currently and take a copy of your passport, so that you can travel within China.
