About:Chinese Consulate in Auckland

Marrying my Chinese wife in New Zealand and travel to China.

Hi there,

My name is Alex and at the end of November 2016 I will marry my wife in NZ and I want to go to China with her to visit her family and spend Christmas and New Year, (but do I need to be married with her for sometimes before I apply for a Chinese visa "for example few months" or once I got married than I should apply for it straight away at the same day and provide marriage certificate to embassy).

Please if you can give me some advice because I tried to call and ask Embassy but the line is always busy or they do not pick up the phone, thank you so much for your advice and time.

Alex, both are ok. If you apply before your marriage, you can only apply for tourist L type; but if you apply after your marriage, you can apply for Q type.
