About:China Consulate in Houston

Can I get a single person license for marriage in China here

I want to get a single person license before travelling to China to marry. I have studied the process and am prepared to take my papers to the State Attorney General for Apostille certification. After I have that, do I travel to the Houston Consulate for the single person license!

You need to get the single status certificate from the local marriage registration department, and then get the certificate authenticated by the County Clerk and Secretary of State. After, get the certificate attested by the consulate general of PRC. After all these procedures, the single status certificate can be used for marriage registration in China.
