Can you tell me how long it takes to get the Type L permit? Can I apply online? How much does it cost?

Leann, if you apply from the USA, it usually take four working days to get it. You can't apply online but should go to the respective embassy or consulate in your residence area. If you don't want to go there in person, you can ask someone else or hire an agent to submit the application for you. The cost is USD 140 for an application.
