Do Shanghai sightseeing bus tickets allow to change lines?

Or is it a different ticket for each line?

Sure! The 24 hours ticket costs CNY 30, and is applicable on line 1 and 2. The 48 hours ticket costs CNY 50, and is applicable on line 1, 2, 3, and 5. :)
