About:China Visa Application in USA

looking at the new 72 hour rule. and have two questions:

1) Flying from Tokyo to HK and staying 4 days-do we need a visa?
2) Flying to Beijing from HK arriving at 500 pm on June 27. and plan to stay in Beijing three nights flying onto NY on June 30. We want to visit the Great Wall in Badling considered part of Beijing Administrative District so 72 hour rules apply?

Hi Russ!
(1) You don't need the entry permit for HK.
(2) You are eligible for the 72 hours free transit and you are allowed to visit the Great Wall.
