About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Adding flight for 72 hours

I was in china and went to hong kong and found out I could not get a visa back into china due to passport expiring in 5 months i currently have a ticket booked from guangzhou to new Zealand. If I buy a ticket Hong Kong to guangzhou will I be able to stay in guangzhou for 72 hours before my flight?

Yes, you can stay in Guangzhou for less than 72 hours, and you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit there.

So I already have a ticket from guangzhou to new Zealand on November 2nd from agency A. Will i still be eligible for 72 hour if I buy the tickets from a different agency. Agency B to travel from hong Kong to guangzhou and just show my travel arrangement documents?

Yeah, it is okay. Tickets can be from different agencies. You just need to show your passport and air tickets.

I have just found out there are no direct flights from hong kong to guangzhou that will fit the 72 hour plan. Will I still be able to fly from hong kong to another city in china then arrive at guangzhou to get 72 hour?. Then from guangzhou back to new zaland

It just works when your transit is under 24h when you have 2 or more stops in China.
You´re not eligible for the 72h twov if you have 2 or more stops in China.
