About:China Visa

Do I need visa if I will transit in Guangzhou Baiyun airport for 16 hours?

I arrive in Guangzhou at 6am and depart the same day at 9pm on the same day. I don't really want to stay in the airport that whole time, and would like to go around to see the city. Do i need to obtain an entry permit to be able to tour around?

Brian, if you will go to a third country or region after staying in Guangzhou for 16 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit there. And then no entry permit will be needed.

You just need to bring your passport, the air tickets and valid visa for the third country to get the 24 hour direct transit.
