About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I am travelling on November 10 to Beijing,

staying overnight Friday night at a hotel in the airport region, and then returning to Minneapolis on Saturday November 12. Can I just get a transit visa at Beijing customs and immigration?

Dana, you mean you will travel like US-Beijing-US, right? If yes, you cannot get the free transit in Beijing. You need to apply for a tourist L type entry permit ahead of your trip.
