About:China Family Reunion Visa

I am British in China with q1 visa. We have a son born in china.

If my Chinese wife divorced me , can I still renew/get a Q1 type so that I can stay in China to be with my son?

No. The only reason you had the q1 was because of the marriage certificate. With divorce, no marriage certificate hence you cannot apply/extend the q1 type.
