Is it possible to travel Mount Emei in half day?

My plan is in the early morning at around 07:00AM, take sightseeing shuttle bus from Baoguo Bus Station (Emeishan Tour Passenger Transport Center) at the foot of Mount Emei to Leidongping, walk to Jieyin Palace, then take the cableway to reach the peak of Mount Emei (the Golden Summit), walk around here about 1 hour. After that, take cableway back to Jieyin Palace, walk to Leidongpin, then take the sightseeing bus go back to Baoguo Bus Station (Emeishan Tour Passenger Transport Center).

Is it possible to go back at around 12:00? Because I'd like to go to Leshan Giant Buddha at around 13:00.

Are there direct buses go from Mount Emei to Leshan Giant Buddha? Any suggestions?

I don't think half day is enough to visit the Mountain Emei, normally at least one day is needed. It take about 2 hours to transfer from Baoguo Bus Station to Leidongping, half an hour to walk to Jieyin Palace, another half hour to take cable car to reach the Golden Summit including waiting time. After walking around one hour, you will get back to Leidongping (one hour) and then take the sightseeing bus go back to Baoguo Bus Station (2 hours). It totally needs 7 hours for the whole journey. You will get back at around 2pm in case you start at 7am. There are regular buses available from Baoguo Bus Station to Leshan and the bus ride take around one hour.

If possible, I suggest you go to Leshan from Chengdu first, after several hours' visit, take bus from Leshan to Mt. Emei before 3pm, then visit the mountain and stay a night on the mountain if you like.
