About:Guangzhou Metro

Is it possible to take metro from Guangzhou Beijing Road area to South Railway Station?

I read about under construction on line 2.

From Beijing Road, you can walk southwest around 0.6 miles to get to Haizhu Square Metro Station.
Then take metro line 2 to the South Railway Station directly. It takes around 25 mins. And the ticket fare is CNY 5 per person.
