About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

What about non-third country round trips?

The details above are unclear. Would the 144 day visa-free be eligible with a simple round trip from the USA--ay SFO - PVG -SFO? Thanks.

Well, as you fly from the US to Shanghai and then back to the US, you do not qualify for 144h free transit facility.
