Visit Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces in October

Hi, I have read somewhere that October is a good period to visit the rice terraces, but before October 15th because after that time the rice has been harvested and there is nothing left to see...
Can any body confirm?
I can do it only on October 22nd this year and I am afraid it will be too late.
The good thing is that since I have only one day free in Guilin, I can still do the Li rIver cruise :)
Thanks
Mark

That's true. The rice will be gradually harvested after Oct. 15. If you wanna see the best golden view, go around late Sep. or early Oct.(however, it is Chinese National Day holiday) It will be the best timing for taking pictures as well. Oct. 22 seems a little late. You may still see some, but not the whole golden terrace.
