About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit visa Shanghai from France to Tokyo but with a stop in Beijing

Hello,
I am wondering if I can ask for free transit in Shanghai if my flight comes from Paris with a stop in Beijing.
After shanghai i am going to tokyo

If you stop in both Beijing and Shanghai for less than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai. In this case, you don’t need to apply for an entry permit. Otherwise, an entry permit is needed.
