You can just prepare the required documents first including your passport, valid registration form of temporary residence, the application form, a passport-style photo, the return ticket, and hotel reservation. And then go to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB to convert the Z type to L type 7 days earlier before the Z type expires. It usually takes 7 working days to get the result.
