Do I need to get a physical examination for a working permit Z visa extension?

I am currently living and working in China, my working permit expires in December, and I need to apply for working permit extension. I will be working with the same university, and applying for the working permit extension from China. Do you know if I am required to get the physical examination?

The situation may be different on a case-by-case basis, so I cannot give you an answer for certain. You can prepare the physical examination report in case that it is needed.
