About:Requirements for Permanent Residence Permit

Hi there! I have been married to a Chinese national for 9 years

on settling here Last year I was isssued a Residece permit for 3 years that will be extended in 2018. Given I have the permit for family reunion reasons do I still need a 'Z" visa to work in China?
Thankyou.

Yes, Robyn, you still need to attain the Z type to be able to work in China. You can convert your Q type to Z type first and then renew your residence permit.
