About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Can x2 visa be changed into a marriage residence permit within china?

Is it possible to change an x2 type into a family (marriage) temporary residence permit within china? Or do I need to return to my home country and apply for a new entry permit? I am currently in china on an x2 type and will marry my chinese girlfriend soon, in China.

It's possible to change your X2 type to a Q1 type within China and then get the temporary residence permit with the Q1. You can try to do this at the local exit and entry administration office under the PSB.
