Is Ticket and Hotel booking needed in applying for Business Visa to China?

My bosses will be attending Canton Fair 2016 this Oct 15-19. We will be submitting documents tomorrow, Oct. 9 to Chinese Embassy. Do we need to submit copy of ticket booking and hotel booking for approval?
