About:Entry Regulations of China

My father is on several medications and puts them in pill boxes for each day of the week.

Will he need to put these back in the original bottles to travel? Also we will be in this country for 9 days then flying to Singapore for a cruise but returning to China for our return flight to the United States. Our total days in China will only be 10 but will have medications for the additional 5 days we go to Singapore. Will having more medication then days be a problem?

You'd better put them in their original bottles and take doctor's recipe along with you to prove these pills are really necessary.
Generally, taking self-use medicine for the journey won't meet problems at the customs.
