About:Urumqi Tianshan Airport

I am flying from Islamabad to Auckland through China southern airlines.

And have about 2 hours and 30 min stay at Urumqi Airport. I just want to know whether my baggage would transferred by airline from one plane to another?
And, would I be required to exit immigration control and/or airport while going from one terminal to another?

It's international to international transfer at the airport. As I know, yes, your luggage would be transferred to another plane. If your two flights are in different terminal building, you need to transfer between terminals first. BTW, you will have enough time to catch the next flight. Don't worry. :)
