About:Chinese Embassy in Indonesia

Hi ..my mum and my sister will be traveling from Jakarta to Vancouver ( canada) via Xiamen

Do they need a china visa for 9 hours transit in Xiamen airport with Indonesian passport ?

No, they don't need a visa for such a short layover if staying in Xiamen Airport. If they wanna leave airport, it is easy to apply for a special stay permit at the immigration. Ask them to relax!

Hi, my mom and my sister will be travelling to Vancouver, Canada from Jakarta, Indonesia - via Xiamen. Is it possible for them to check their baggages all the way through to Vancouver? I am worried about going through immigration upon arrival because they do not have Chinese Visas for the 9hour transit.

Hi Judie from Singapore, my mum was travelling from Jakarta to Seattle via Xiamen, transit 20hours. But she was rejected at Jakarta airport saying that she needs to get PRC visa. Is this true?

I will transit in shanghai pudong airport in near future, I need to know this information in advance.
