Are there any restrictions on US military personnel visiting China? Is the application procedure different if the documents held do not include an ARC, but military id?

Pat, if you hold an ordinary passport of USA, you may still be able to the application and your military ID can be used to replae the ARC, but the application approval procedure may be stricter for you.
