About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Qatar: Hong Kong: Beijing: Qatar

We are leaving from Qatar and staying in Hong Kong for 5 days. We then will be in Beijing for 50 hours and fly back to Qatar. This will qualify for the 72 hours visit correct? Also do we need to notify the airline of transit? Thank you in advance!

You are fine with this route.

The airline staff at check-in will ask you for a chinese visa so you have to tell them that you are using the twov.
