About:

UK to China (on Qater airlines via Doho) the Shanghai and flight to Hong Kong

Hi, I am travelling from UK to China (on Qatar airlines via Doho) travelling around Shanghai and then flying to Hong Kong for a 24 hour stay with friends before returning to the UK - is this covered by the 240 hour transit visa?

So your route will be UK - Doho - Shanghai - HK - UK? It's an eligible route, as the immediate stops before and after Shanghai are in two different territories. Have a nice trip in China~
