Exchange student Hong Kong - travelling to China more than 2 times

I am currently studying in Hong Kong for a few months. So, I have a student visa for Hong Kong. However, I would like to travel to China at least 3 times. Is it possible to apply for a double entry visa and a single entry one to have in total 3 entries? Or is a multiple entry also possible as an exchange student?

Mirjam, you can try to apply for a 6-month multiple-entry tourist L type for mainland PRC if you go there for tourism purpose, but if you cannot get it, you can just apply for a double-entry one or single-entry one.
