About:Power Plugs / Sockets in China

Eek Electric Shock!

I was so excited that an item I bought on EBay via America had a socket plug that fitted in a Chinese port. However, when I took it out I got a pretty bad electric shock.

Are American plugs ok in Chinese sockets, or... even though they fit... should we use a converter?

The voltage in America is different from that in China. You need to buy a voltage converter to use it safely.
