About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

Hi, I'm flying to Europe and transit in Shanghai for 10 hours.

I'm Planing to go out to the city, do i need visa? And what kind of entry permit should i apply? Thanks

No, you don't need it. You just need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport so that you can leave.
