For the benefit of others, an update today. Taxi from Xian Bei (North) train station to the Terracotta Warriors complex cost 150 CNY (inc. tolls). Entrance fee 150 CNY per pax. Bus back to Xian (Main) station, 8 CNY ppx. There are numerous add-ons like tour guides and commentary earphones that are available, but if you have done a little research (wikipedia from home - not available in China - or Travel China Guide, you will find the English language signs sufficient. All sorts of things you can do at extra cost, like posing for pictures in a gallery of warriors with your arm around one. A great experience.
