About:China Train

For softsleeper, can we request to be in the same cabin

as we are travelling with our kids (2A2C) + 1C (below 1.2m)

Although the beds are assigned randomly the the system, it is still possible to have them together in one cabin. Usually the chance would be bigger if still many tickets available. By the way, for soft sleeper cabin, it is shared by 4 passenger. The child under 1.2m do not need a ticket by sharing bed with adult.
