About:China High Speed Train

Wheelchair accessible high speed rail cabin

Hi,

We are looking at the trains

1. G8785 departing from Chengdu East to Chongqing North on 9/4/2025 at 2029.
2. G3424 departing from Chongqing North to Chengdu East on 13/4/2025 at 1326.

We have 4 travelers including 1 on wheelchair. We would like to book First Class tickets and want to check if the wheelchair can enter the cabin. Width of the wheelchair is about 55cm.

Kindly advise how we can purchase the tickets.

Wheelchair is allowed to enter high speed cabins. But I would like to remind you that the width of the corridor in the first class carriage is only about 60cm, only slightly wider than the wheelchair. So you may need to have him/her sit on the seat and place the wheelchair in the luggage area between the two carriages.

There is no special tickets for disabled passengers. You can contact the station in advance to book special service for people in need. Free wheelchairs are available, and staff will assist wheelchair users in entering stations and getting on and off the train.
