About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

blank pages in our passports

Sorry for this obscure question - My husband and i have been informed by the Chinese Embassy that we require 2 blank pages in our passports so the visa can be applied, which my husband doesnt have, he only has one. So we are looking at the 72 hour transit visa as we are flying to Tokyo with a stopover in Beijing. Do we still have to have two blank pages free in the passport for the 72 hour transit visa? thank you

1 blank page is enough for the twov.
They just give you a stamp, that´s all.
