About:Huangshan Travel

I am planning a trip next year in November to Shanghai, Huangshan and Zhangjiajie.

I would like to know what kind of transportation I should take from HS to Zhangjiajie. Bus or train? Is it advisable to book in advance or would it be ok to book a day before the bus or train is scheduled to leave. For the rest of my journey I consider flights.

Thanks!

The bus+train mode of transport is recommended. Take a bus to North Railway Station from Xinguoxian Bus Exchange Center for CNY 20 (about 1 hour). Then, take a bullet train to Changsha South Railway Station (about 4.5 hours). Upon arrival, take a bus to Zhangjiejie from the bus station at Changsha South Railway Station (about 4 to 5 hours). The buses depart at 11:40, 13:00, 14:10, 15:20, and 16:40, and the fare is CNY 135 per person.
