About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

we are maltese citizens cruising and stopping in Sanya for 1 day.

Can we benefit from the free 72 hour transit visa

No, you cannot benefit from the 72 hour free transit if you travel like that because there is no 72 hour free transit in Sanya.
However, if you will go to a third country or region after staying in sanya for a day, you can probably enjoy the 24 hour direct transit, but you’d better confirm that with the cruise company.
