I am going on a cruise and calling in to Shanghai for less than 24hrs.

Avril, if the cruise will head to a third country or region rather than the last one you come from after stopping in Shanghai, you may be able to enjoy the 24 hour direct transit, but you’d better confirm that with the cruise company if you enter and exit by the same ship.
