how do you get to the sight seeing area? is there a way to reserve two seats in that area?

My wife are traveling from Shanghai to Beijing Oct 10th at 0900.  We would like to be in the sight seeing area.  can we reserve seats there?

As I know, the sightseeing area is no longer sale separately and only available on a few old types. It cannot be know if there are such seat type available on appointed train or not and if yes, where exactly are they located. Getting a window seats maybe an option.
