I checked into Beijing Capital Airport for a flight back to Bangkok on Sept 19.
My regular mobile phone rechargeable power back was seized. I spoke both to line checking and the security supervisor. They said that now such devices, in addition to having the input and output voltage and amperes stamped on the device, MUST also have the inductance in mH stamped on the device.
Even showing them the inductance on the devices website was deemed insufficient. They said I could go back out of the airport, find a post office and send by mail but only to addresses in China, which was useless to me.
Hehe, the device was purchase at Oslo Airport and has passed through numerous airports all over the world this year without any problem.
Can you confirm for me that this is a real rule now or was I simply the victim of an elaborate scam by the security personnel?
