About:China Visa on Arrival

I am visiting Sanya in Novemer 2016 on a cruise ship which is a 7 hour stop over.

Will I require to get a Chinese visa for this visit or can I obtain one on arrival. I hold a British passport.
Many thanks.

Anne, if you will go to a third country or region rather than the last one you come from after staying for 7 hours in Sanya, you may be able to enjoy the 24 hour direct transit there. In this case, no entry permit is required, but you’d better confirm that with the cruise ship.
