About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

72hour Visa free question

Hello. I have a trip to Shanghai. Can i ask for 72 hour free transit with schefule below?
Stockholm to Copenhagen . 1 hour transit
Copenhagen - shanghai
Flying back:
Shanghai- Copenhagen.
Friday - Monday
Starting trip in Sweden via Denmark and then ending trip in Denmark.

Hi there! If so, you won’t qualify for the free transit in Shanghai because you will fly back to Denmark after stopping in Shanghai. However, in principle, you should fly to a third country or region. You need to apply for a tourist L type for that.
If you can make a transit in HK before fly to Copenhagen, namely like Copenhagen-shanghai–HK– Copenhagen, you will be eligible for the free transit in Shanghai and then no need to apply for an entry permit.

Sweden to HK
HK to Shanghai
Shanghai to Denmark

Yes, this travel route Sweden-HK-Shanghai-Denmark will also be eligible for the free transit.
