Shanghai Transit Visa Pudong Transfer Cruise ship

We are traveling from Germany via DOH and Hong Kong to Shanghai Pudong. We then stay two nights in Central Shanghai before we will board a ship in Shanghai Baoshan Port that is bound for Japan (and after that Hong Kong). Can we apply the 144 hrs rule in this case??
