About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

HK -> Shanghai -> Macau

Is that option possible? Or are HK and Macau grouped as one place?

What about HK -> Shanghai -> HK?

HK - Shanghai - Macau is fine as both (HK and Macau) count as 3rd countries.

HK - Shanghai - HK is not fine as you can´t fly back to the country of origin.
