About:Guangzhou Metro

Metro from Baiyun Airport to Guangzhou South Railway Station

My flight lands @ Baiyun at 9:30 PM on Mon, Oct 3rd and I'm staying near a hostel around the corner from South Railway Station. I know it's National Day Golden week so will probably be extra busy...Can I expect that after bags & customs that I would be at the metro station by 10:30 PM or so? What time does the metro line from the airport stop running? I need to take Line #3 from the airport and transfer to Line #2...Do both lines run past 11 PM? How long is entire transfer time take from Airport (North or South?) to South Train Station? Thanks!

Yes, you can check out and reach the metro station at around 10:30. Then, take metro line 3 from CAN to Jiahewanggang Station, and change to metro line 2 to South Railway Station.

The last train of metro line 3 departs at 23:00. The last train of metro line 2 departs from Jiahewanggang Station at 23:15. So, you can catch that, and make your way to it. The whole trip takes about 70 minutes, and the fare totals CNY 9. ;)
